You can use it as extra storage device, but I doubt you'll
be able to assign it as "a:" since that letter is already
reserved on all computer systems. Is there a special
reason you need it as "a:".
Yes, my bank here in the UK requires a security file on a
floppy disk when i dial into my account. I have just
bought a new laptop without a floppy drive and the bank
won't be updating their website till next year !
You can get a USB floppy drive, but how does the bank know
whether the drive is a floppy or not? You might be able to
re-name the memory stick drive A:
