What is the best computer memory speed to use with a E8400 Intel Processor
with a motherboard rated to handle 1600 FSB?

The last computer I built used that processor and DDR2 1066 memory. It
maxes out the Vista speed test.

You just need to look at your motherboard specs. It will tell you the fastest memory you can use. Its often no more expensive.
DDR-2 ram is dirt cheap these days, if that is what your motherboard takes. You can also look into overclocking if your techy.
