have a Dell that takes PC133 RAM. If I put PC2100 RAM in there, is it
backwards compatible? Will it run at 133?

It should. Memory of different speeds will all run at the slowest speed.

If you can get PC2100 memory into a PC that takes PC133 memory and get it to
work, patent it - the slots are different.

Isn't it just the speeds though that are different?

No, the former (PC133) is SDR and the latter DDR memory.
Not backwards compatible.

Ahh, shit. Of course.

Been a while since I dealt with SDR.
