memory problems

i got xp last year and six months later i have only 23%
free memory space on my hard drive (d). i have not
downloaded alot of programs and cleaned up what i have
not used. i have cleaned the disk with system tools, but
when i go to defrag and analyze disk d, it is showing
that i do not need to defrag, but it showing all blue,
contagious files, what is wrong with my pc?
 
Nothing, except you are running out of disk space. Hard drives are very
cheap now. Time to replace yours with a larger one, or add a second large
drive.
 
As Steve said, "Nothing, except you are running out of disk space." The blue
area in de-frag is files that have been de-fragmented. Contagious means that
they are all side by side, i.e., no space between.
