Win 2000 severe memory leak results in locking apps.
Refuses to log off admin. states, "you do not have
permission..." Any advice appreciated. God BLess!

Check the Event Viewer for any clues and also run virus scan on it with virus
definitions up to date as of today. You should also use Microsoft Update to check
that you are patched with latest updates. Task Manager may show what
process/application is causing the problem. You can use "kill process tree to stop
problem process if necessary and take necessary action from there such as
uninstalling application. You might want to consider running System File Checker -
sfc /scannow [you will need to have install cdrom], reinstalling last service pack,
or if nothing else works a repair install before doing a complete reinstall. ---
