Memory Leak

I have a memory leak problem on one of my PCs. OS is WinXP Pro. I seem to
have to reboot at least once a week. I have 2 GB of RAM. I probably start
using virtual memory when usage gets to about 1.5 GB. Are there particular
applications that cause this or what is happening.

Start by clean booting XP. Watch for the issue. If it does not appear then
progressively enable third-party programs until the issue shows up again.
The last program enabled is the culprit.

Are there particular applications that cause this or what is happening.

Yes.

For example I know that Borland's BDE has memory
leak issues as does some of their turbo pascal / delphi
programs if used wrong.

Easiest way to find a leak is to use a leak detector
such as glowcode - a free 2 or 3 week trial is available.
