Currently, I'm running a Gateway Essential 933, with
Windows Me and a whopping 64MB of RAM. I'm looking to
maximize this thing, including a larger hard drive,
installing XP Professional and as much memory as possible,
which physically, would be two 512MB sticks.

As mentioned in #253912, that much memory would be a
problem for Me. Would it be a problem for XP Pro, and is
there anything in the hardware that would prevent it from
effectively using all that memory?

Add up all the costs and other possible incompatibilities and speed. You may
be better off with a new computer..
