Hi can anyone tell me without me having to climb loft how
l can tell what kind of memory stick l won? Grateful for

Download AIDA32 from www.aida32.hu and run it. It will tell you everything
about your computer, including the make and details of your memory. (I guess
this is what you are asking. Kinda hard to tell from your post)

If the question is "How much memory do I have?", just Ctrl-Alt-Del to open
the "Windows Task Manager" and click on the "Performance" tab. You'll see
the total physical memory listed.
