memory error msg

When I use Control Panel or My Computer I get and error msg stating memory
cannot be written and the computer reboots. I've tried a repair load of XP
any other suggestions?
 
How much memory is installed,what type,are you running SP1 or SP2,
when did this start,you dont give much for details....
