Memory Card formatter again ??

I asked this question a little over a week ago and nobody replied, I cannot
believe no one knows of any software which will format my memory card (multi
media card in a reader).

For my purposes (using it in an mp3 player, Ondio 128), the WinXP built-in
formatter does NOT work. I need to have more control (chunk size etc) for it
to format it correctly for my mp3 player.

I have looked for the same type application for several
months to re-format the cards for my cameras. I have pretty
much concluded that there is no such application because the
cameras I use use different format specs even though they
are the same cards used in different models of cameras or
recorders. The cameras cannot read cars among different
models forcing me to format the card each time it is moved
to another camera. I suspect that is why there is no one
application that can properly format a card for more than
one specific device.

Just downloaded it, still doesn't work, i just get error 'File System error.
No valid FAT16/32 file system found. Please format drive' - but there is no
'built-in' formatting on the mp3 player - The ONDIO128 is USELESS !!!!

Hi
maybe it needs the firmware updating, the downloads are half way down the
page on the link below

http://www.archos.com/download/firmware.html

24 Dec. 2003Note:If your Ondio Operating System is less than version 1.32b, please
install version 1.32b before updating to version 1.32c...AJZ file to be put on the root. This update is for both the Ondio 128 and
the Ondio FM Recorder.
