If ever I encounter '0x1b7427ec referenced memory. Memory
cannot be read' what are the possible causes solutions
for this... if you have any hints please do share...

It means that an application tried to write to a forbidden area of
memory or tried to do something it wasn't supposed to. What application
were you running when the error appeared?

I have a similar problem - on 3 XP machines - many programs cause the same error (although different but close memory locations). Photoshop 6.0.1, PowerDesk 5 (file management), Eudora Pro 5.2.1, Dreamweaver 4.0. Seems that any program that I use to drill down into directories causes the problem

Done all the virus checks - verified all printer drivers

These are P4 boards 512 to 1GB ram - ran memory check program referred to in this forum for 21 hours on all machines - no errors

It's hard to say from long distance, but answer this: are all 3 machines
identical? Are they using the same hardware? Try 1) updating the video
card drivers; or 2) try using a different video card. Post back with
results.
