Member login to web pages not working

I would love some help or guidance. I ahve checked all the
settings I know of.

When ever I hit a member button to login to a page it does
not open the window to input my username and password - it
just says i entered wrong or broser does not know how to
provide credentials.

Help?!

It depends which site you are trying to log into, each
sites log in system is different, if you are trying to
log into a site that uses microsoft .net passport then
they will be the same (i.e hotmail).
Please be a bit more specific. Give an
example site.

it may due to javascript not being enabled,
do something for me, goto the official
bruce almighty website (search google)
and click enter site, if it flashes then
goes back to the same page again then tell
me, if it doesnt but enters the site instead
then say as it will determine the issue.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for helping. That bruce almighty was really cool
site by the way. Nice transitions and page design. It
worked just fine.

The problem was that in IE6 from internet properties -
security tab - internet custom level. Down at bottom for
user authorization, you have to have prompt for
username/password checked under user.

Thaks again Jack - now if i can only find a pop up stopper
that works again i'll be set! (pop op stopper used to, but
version 3.1 is so not as good ;(
