The subject line of single instances of a recurring meetings appear as
a series of question marks and boxes in day, week and month views:
"????????????e??aA?A"

When the item is opened, the subject line appears normal, as it does
in other instances of the meeting.
This is Outlook 2003. wSP2. Operated on XP. I'm not sure which version
of Exchange we are using. I suspect this instance of the meeting was
updated on the originator's BlackBerry device.

This seems to indicate a mismatch in the character encoding between the
Blackberry and Outlook.

I am experiencing the same issue. I am currently operating on Outlook 2003
SP3. It seems to occur for reoccuring meetings.

Any ideas?

Is there any solution, then?

You guys may want to ask if the meeting request was cancelled by the
owner of the meeting. we had same issue, turns out the meeting was
cancelled but the user never removed it from calendar.
