Meeting w/o Organizer

D

Daniel Jameson

Hi,

I provide services to others in my company, and some of those services need
to be provided at a specific time on a specific day. My first thought is to
have the customer send me a meeting request for that time. But..., the
customer does not need to be present when I provide the service, so it would
be inappropriate for the customer to have the meeting in their calendar.

Is there some way that my customers can reserve a slot in my calendar
without creating an item in their calendar?

Is it possible? Sure. It all depends on your network and theirs.

Since the "customers" are internal, you could give them create permission to
your calendar. They'd open it using file, open other users folder and add
the appointment directly on your calendar. if they don't need access to your
personal calendar, an exchange public folder calendar (or sharepoint
calendar, if you have it) would be a good solution.
