Media usage rights licences

I have downloaded some mpegs that are protected by a licence. It says that
once this is downloaded I can play them on this computer as many times as i
wasnt, however each time I switch off the laptop and reboot and try to open
the file it asks me to enter password etc all over again. Any Ideas. I am
using windows media player 11.
