Media Player

I just purchased a new computer from Gateway with Media
Player 9 installed. When I am playing or copying a CD to
my computer all artists/albums are identified
as "Unknown". I have Media Player on my computer at my
office and have no problem with correct identification of
music. Any ideas?

Connect to internet.... maybe you have a LAN or WAN
connection at work and that why you see the artist/albums
IDs.

There's also a "Look for information" (don't know exact
label - my WMP is in Spanish) button that will look up in
to internet for the information you want.

You are probably always connected to the net at work. WMP9
will automatically update your music files by accessing
the AMG(all music guide) database. Your home computer
should do this also but the feature is probably turned
off. Go to tools then options then the media library tab.
Look for a check box to automatically update music files.
Good luck.
