media player windows xp

I do not obtain to hear midi in chat. it measured it to player does not open
 
Maybe this will help, for I'm not sure either of what their problem is.
Open Windows Media Player, click Tools then Options...
Click the File Types tab, now scroll down to MIDI files (midi) and check it.
Click Apply and OK. You may need to reboot your PC. Capish?
