media player help

I have a 'little' laptop connected to a larger monitor.

When ever I wish to play a music video, media player appears in the laptop
screen, but completely fills the large monitor screen.

Naturally all 'work' is done on the large, easy to read monitor.

With the large monitor 'fill' I am snookered, and unable to do any further
work.

Is there any way I can have the music video playing solely in the laptop
screen?
