Media Player video

I have windows media player 10.0.00.4036. I also have two computer
monitors using an Nvidia video card - and also have the latest NVIDIA
card drivers installed. Whenever I watch a video in the media player
window a second version of the video appears maximized on the other
screen and there is nothing I can do to get rid of it except to stop
playing the video. This makes it really hard to watch video on one
screen and work on the other or even play video all together because
it is so huge and disracting on one of the screens. I have tried
shutting off my NVDIA settings for this application and not allowing
it to show on both screens etc but no nvidia settings have helped.
Does anyone know what I can do in WMP to fix this problem? Or how I
can go about troubleshooting?

Thanks a lot!

If you don't get a reply here you might want to post to one of the media
player newsgroups.

microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player
microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer

Its a video issue with dual monitors not a Media Player one

So? Maybe someone on those newsgroups has used media player in this
configuration with that card and has worked out the issues. What is the
problem?

Hi Bongard,

Not sure if you have tried this setting yet or not......

From the NVidia Control Panel Categories menu, select Display Settings,
Video and Television Settings and then select "Modify full-screen video
options". Perhaps the "Also show it full-screen on.." option is
selected.....change the selection to "Only show it in my viewing application"
then click on Apply.

Methinks the "problem" has more to do with the "MS-MVP" in your sig than it
does with your response ;-)

Genius! That last suggestion worked. Thanks for your help that had
been bothering me for months!
