Media player - Error downloading

I have a few AVI files, but when Media Player opens, on
the bottom status line, its says:

Connecting...
Error Downloading Codec....

Please advise, thank you
 
You might need to open tools,options and edit the tabs
for the player.You can go to wmp home,dwnload the codecs
yourself.
