Media Player [Error C00D11CD]

Edward

I have tried posting in the Media Player newsgroup with no response for over
12 hours. (I notice very little help is given in this NG)

Can anyone here help me with this error?

I am running Media Player version 9.0 on XP Home.

I have downloaded several tracks from a music club for the first time and
yesterday managed to copy only one to a CD. The other 10 in the playlist
failed. The successful track played okay on the hi-fi and the car radio.

Today, assuming I may be copying at too high a speed, I reduced the
recording speed from 'Fastest' to 12x but then got "Error" (in orange) on
every track while 'Inspecting'. This happened regardless of what I did with
the recording speed.

Then I got the error message, "Media
Player encountered an unknown problem."

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for that, Butch. I did visit this link, which popped uo
automatically, but it merely says there is no single solution.

I suspect a problem with the licenses. Anyway, what I said was.... Yesterday
I tried copying a list of 10 tracks. The first one copied okay but then all
the others got a failed message and the CD just popped out. I remember
years ago being told that if the copying speed is too fast, Media Player
will do this sort of thing. So I changed it from "Fastest" to 12x. Since
then nothing works. Not even when I set it back again.

However, I have tried it with an old classical CD - copying it to the hard
drive and then to a CD-R - and it worked fine.

Hence, it may be something to do with with the license. I have written to
Freeserve Music Club for their suggestions.

Any further comments will be appreciated...
