Media Player 10 No sound.

Win XP Home with Win media Player 10.
I have no sound. Sound card OK. Connections OK. Only this prog. will not
play sounds. Real Player also installed that will play sounds but I prefer
to use WMP 10. XP Home will not allow me to uninstall 10 and install Media
Player 9 which works fine on my Win 98 (SE).
(Dual Boot.)
Any ideas.

I found the answer to my own question.
Win Media Player . Menu Bar-Play-Volume. Uncheck Mute. F10 increases, F9
decreases.
