Media playback too fast

Hi, there.

I just got a new computer running Win 2000 and IE 6.0. and
connected to the Internet via T1. The only problem is
that when I view or listen to streamed content from the
Web, the playback sounds too fast. For example, voices in
Win Media or Flash sound like people have been sucking
helium. Is there any way I can adjust this?

saw some issues and answers at the windows media
newsgroupes about that. maybe you could redownload your
player.
