I recent had my windows xp operating system restored to day one. When I got
it back there was an I con for Media Center on my desktop. The program does
not work very well and is not listed the programs that can be removed when I
choose add or remove programs in Control Panel. How do I either completely
install it or completly remove it. It is not Windows Media Player

If your version of Windows is XP Media Center (the icon is a green button
with the Windows logo on it?), you cannot remove the Media Center portion,
it's part of the operating system, just delete the shortcuts and ignore it.
