Media Center Hangs Constantly

UGH!! Almost every day that I attempt to open the Media Center, the app hangs at least once. Many times, re-booting fixes the problem, but not always. And of course when the app is recording one of my "can't miss" tv shows, re-booting isn't the best option

I got th hp m370n at the beginning of January, and have had problems w/ the media center since the beginning. Not to mention that it takes an extremely long time for it to boot

Anyone have any suggestions as how to resolve this issue?

If it's that new, it may be time to see how good that warranty is. If you
haven't loaded a bunch of junk on the computer and you haven't been attacked
by viruses or spyware, the computer shouldn't be hanging like that.

I also have a hp Media Center PC (hp376n) and I have had nothing but
problems since I got it also. I have worked and worked and worked with
customer support, but still the PC is not the way it should be. I have had
a solid week now of it working good enough, I'm almost afraid to take it to
the store I bought it at for maintenance. HP just keeps on going through
the motions of problem solving but they don't seem to be concerned that I
have been working on the same problems for two months.
I wish I had an answer for you, but it looks like the only solution is to
keep taking it back to the store you purchased it (if you got the extended
warranty) or spend most of your life on the phone with HP.
When it all works correctly, it is an outstanding machine. It does
virtually everything I wanted a home PC to do, I just wish it wasn't so
buggy.
