XP Media Center Receiver Service eats up CPU performance

Q

Quanta

I have a new Core 2 Duo machine with an ATI tuner card and Nvidia graphics
card.

The Media Center Receiver Service, without the actual app being activated,
is eating 60%+ of CPU processing constantly.

What is wrong?

Of course if I disable this service, CPU goes to less than 1% in idle.

I am NOT using the Media Center console for anything, but wanted to use the
tuner in the future.

The OS is Media Center 2005? If so and you don't get an answer here you
might want to post to the media center newsgroup.
