IS XP Media Center Edition based on XP Professional
or XP HOME? I CANNOT FIND THE ANSWER TO THIS IMPORTANT
QUESTION.

Media Center 2004 is a superset of Windows XP Professional but with some
reduction in the functionality of the Windows XP Professional that it is
based on.
This functional change from the original Media Center Release to the new
version as shipped with Windows XP SP2 etc does not alter the functionality
of the Media Center application layer

Why is this such an important question to you ?
