Ben

I had an ME, XP Dual boot, and have removed the reference to ME in the
Boot.ini file and set the time to wait to zero. I have deleted the Windows
folder form C: (the ME Drive.) and I have made a copy of NTLDR, NTDETECT and
the BOOT.INI to a floppy.

In addition I have copied all the pertinent folders (that will need a re
install) to my USB Hard Drive.

I would like to install XP on C:, but retain the D: XP installation until I
get all working and software reinstalled on D:

What would be the best procedure to follow? I need a little step by step.

Thanks

Ben

press and hold f8 key at boot up and it will take you to a
page that will allow you to boot from c or d ect.

I don't understand, F8 seems to get me to a menu that will allow me to boot
into safe mode etc. I don't see how this will let me instal xp on the C:
drive. What am I missing?

Neither do I, you will need to reinstall your applications when you change
hard drive enumeration. You should run F.A.S.T to save any custom settings.
You will need to reinstall the programs, but your settings can be restored
by running F.A.S.T.
Click on or copy and paste the link below into your web browser address box.
Using F.A.S.T [Files And Settings Transfer] wizard.
