mdmg fiiles in C:\I386

S

Susan

Friend ran ewidio and Norton AV 2006 on this XP Home system and both lockup
when hitting the I386/mdmgl006.inf file.

C:\I386\MDMGL005.INF
C:\I386\MDMGL006.INF
C:\I386\MDMGL007.INF

I did search on Microsoft.com and came up with this. I understand that the
mdmg files are Windows Modem driver files but below mentions ME and 98 SE so
can these files be deleted since person uses XP Home? Is there any special
instructions about how to delete?

Hi,

Those files should exist in the I386 folder, but compressed with an
extension of .in_, see if you can set the scanners to skip or exclude the
I386 folder.
