I have been sent a .mde which I know is created from
the .mdb (which I have not been sent). Is there any way
that I can change the .mde back into a .mdb ?
If not can anyone tell me how to refresh the link between
the data, which I have also been sent but is a .mdb, and
the .mde that I have ?

I would suggest you ask the sender. Perhaps they didn't send it to you
because you are not entitled to it?

Again the sender should be able to provide you with a method to refresh the
link. Otherwise, you can go into Tools, Database Utilities and Linked Table
Manager to refresh the links.

Something tells me that they locked down the mde so that menu may not be
available. Again, ask them for assistance.
