I am working with Word 2007 and created an address list database for creating
mailing labels. In Word, I started by clicking on the Mailings tab/Start Mail
Merge/Letters then Type New List. When I completed the list, I clicked on
okay and was given a Save As window. I saved the document to My Documents (as
an .mdb file) and when I try to open it, I get the message Windows cannot
open this file: ....... What do you want to do: with two options Use the
web... or Select the program from a list.

I'm stuck at this point and don't know how to proceed to open the file and
then be able to print address labels from it. Can you please help?

That's an Access database. You need to merge that file into Word, not open
the file.

Thank you JoAnn. I will give that a try. Incidentally, I did open the file
with Excel and got a Workbook file?? Can view the address list I created and
print it. Will now try the mail merge in Word. Thank you again.
