MDB crashed and dissapeared??

I have a mdb file which warned me that it needed
repairing. I closed the file in order to repair it offline
and as I was trying to copy it to another location,
windows informed me that the file was no longer there. It
would appear to have simply vanished. I am 100% sure that
it was not deleted by myself or anyone else, - does anyone
know if a corrupted mdb file requiring repair can in any
circumstances just delete itself??

Doubtful...

However, I'll admit that I have occasionally "lost" a file when attempting
to do something with it in Explorer. Just a little extra nudge or push with
the mouse can move the file into another folder. Perhaps a search of all
files/folders in the "parent" folder of the file's original location might
find it. hth,

To add to Cheryl's comments...you might check the recycle bin...if the file
was deleted..it would be in there....
