McAfee Managed ViruScan

I have McAfee Managed ViruScan.

I went to a web page for the McAfee Managed ViruScan and on the page
it said my browser should be Microsoft Internet Explorer. My browser
is, by my choice, Mozilla Firefox.

Should I have another virus scanning product?

I suggest posting in the appropriate spot at http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/
Current McAfee products rely on Internet Explorer for the initial download
and establishing updates, however once that's done you can switch to
Firefox. This is because of ActiveX. Their products will not rely on
that as of next year so the browser issue should disappear.

Why not just use IE for the purpose.. it doesn't hurt, and IE is not that
bad.. I use IE exclusively, and can't understand the 'posse' mentality of
those who change to another browser because somebody said that IE was a
piece of crap..
