I have McAfee Security Centre running on my Dell Inspiron 510m (XP SP2)
laptop. After the 90 days trial, 2 windows now pop up each time I reboot
asking me to subscribe, which I don't want to do at this stage (but might in
the future). Is there any way of disabling these pop-ups without doing a
full uninstall?

Uninstall Macafee and if you still have the popup then try ACE Utilities to
Clean the Registry.

Macafee left a stack of command lines in my registry after uninstall, plus
it didn't find the Virus on my machine.

Maybe... could be in the program it's self... I don't run Antivirus.....

Or you can uninstall it and install AVG free antivirus....
That is your better choice..
