Maxtor 3000LE USB drive and standby?

Is it possible to put the Maxtor 3000LE into standby like the internal
drives do when they are not used?

Hi,

Don't you have a CD-ROM with a maxtor utily to do that ? (Maxtools ?)
Our 250 GB USB default to 1 hour and that can be changed.

No, the only thing that is on the CD is WIN98 drivers
