Maximise 2nd Window

When I open IE Explorer, the window is maximised - great.
However when I open another window via any link on a web
page, that window is half size. I have miximised then
closed this window (file/close), reopened the window via
the link and all is ok (ie maximised) However this only
applies for that session. When I reboot I am back to
square one. This is driving me nuts!! I think problem
started when I had a hang-up and had to turn off the pc
(though this would probably mean the window was not
maximised when I switched off ?!). I am running XP Pro
off a Dell Dimension 8300 3.4 gig (1 gig RAM) Also have
Norton Internet Security 2003.
 
Sorted...I think.

I did not close the first window before maximising and
closing the second window.

I am hoping it is fixed now.
