Max number of workbooks open

Anybody know the maximum number of workbooks that can be
open at the same time?

This is probably ,like some other features in Excel, limited to the
available memory.

I expect this is a system thing - size of memory compared to total size of
files opened.

Maximum number of open workbooks Limited by available memory and system
resources, you might also want to look under specifications in help for
other limits
