Hi

Have just bought a new 200GB HDD, and am only having 127GB of it
recognised? Is this a technical limitation of Windows 2000?

Also, this new drive was to be my third, but Windows now tells me I
can only have two IDE drives at once. Is there any way to get around
this (easily) and make all three work together?

TIA

Yes and no. It is a limitation of W2K - but
with a quick and easy fix.

I have had W2K systems with up to 12 IDE devices.
The system I am currently at has five: 3 hard drives,
CD-RW, DVD-ROM.

I've never seen the symptom you are reporting. When
does it occur ? At boot up ? When you attempt to
partition the drive ?

Tell us more about your system - particularly how
your IDE devices are arranged.
