MarkRead doesn't

I installed the MarkRead extension from
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/custom.htm, suggested by Francine in an
earlier thread, but the Sent Items are still marked Unread. The Save Copy in
Sent Items option is turned off. Specific Sent Items are moved to a dedicated
folder using a Rule. General Sent Items are processed with MarkRead and a
copy moved to the Sent Items folder using a second Rule. The General Sent
rule follows the Specific one.
 
The scripts was tested against Exchange 4.0 and 5.0 with Outlook 97 while
Outlook 98 was still in BETA. Even the script is marked as BETA.
In addition the script is over 10 years old. What did you expect? ;-)

Consider using this addin instead;

Sorry it's not possible for me to buy extensions to Outlook - there's no
budget for it. Do you know of a freeware version?
