Marked as Read

When I used to check my email I could just scroll thru my
Inbox from message to message and once I checked a
message, the text of the message in the inbox would
become un-bold (or marked as read)...now it no longer
does that. I have to double click on each new message or
right click and hit 'mark as read' in order to get rid of
the boldness. I've looked thru all the options and I
cannot find how to fix this problem.

Go to "tools" click on "options" then click the "read"
tab. Check the first box "mark message read after
displaying for 1 second"

Don't know if you ever solved this. I know I had a very difficult time finding it, even with the previous e-mail. It is actually under:

Tools / Options / Other / Preview Pane / Mark message read after displaying (# of seconds you choose).
