Margins/formatting problem

J

Jerry

I changed margins in a Word document, using "Margins"
in "Page Setup" from 1.25 inches left and right to 1 inch
left and right. When the document prints, the top and
left margin are correct, BUT the right and bottom margins
are about THREE inches. It looks like the whole document
was shrunk and moved to the top-left of the page. This
has happened before with other documents. What IS this,
and how do I fix it? MANY THANKS, Jerry

First, close Word. Go to Start > Settings > Printers, select your printer,
right-click, select Properties.

Work you way through ALL the set-up screens. Make sure that everything is as
it should be, and consistent.

Now start Word, go to Page Setup and check that everything there matches the
printer setup.

It turned out Jerry was printing "Document with markup" and Word was
allowing space for the "balloons."
