margin format in inches?

I try to edit my document. There is a format to edit a document such as
margin 1inch. but my problem is that my word is showing the margin with
measure of centimeters not inches. how to change into inches measure?

recently I installed xp pro and installed again the office.

In w'07: Office button, Word Options, Advanced, Display section, Show
measurements in units of...
Previous versions: Tools, Options, General tab, Measurement units
