Mapping from excel to BCM

I have just started using BCM. I have a large contact list in excel that I
want to import into BCM, but want to make sure that things map correctly. If
I want the "lead" box in BCM to be checked on all of these entries, can I
create a field on my excel spreadsheet that I can map to the "lead" box in
BCM?

I found my answer to this question. Thought it may help other users. I
created a Lead column in my excel spreadsheet. Then for each record I
entered the value "1" under the column. When I imported my spreadsheet, I
mapped Lead to Lead, and tada! The lead box was checked when I opened the
contacts in BCM.

Also, since I wanted the "Active" box to be unchecked, I had to create an
"Active" column in excel and enter the value "0" for each entry. When it
imported, the Active box was unchecked. Hope this helps!
