Mapping Fields when Importing Contacts from Excel

I want to import from Excel to a contacts folder. When I go to import the
data, it doesn't give me the option to "Map Custom Fields" like the
instructions in Outlook Help say it should. Therefore, Outlook won't allow me
to import because my ranges aren't defined. Any suggestions?

If you have no named range in your Excel worksheet, you must add one and save the worksheet. You only need one, covering all the data to be imported.
