Mapping Drives using GPO

Besides using a login script how do I map drives using GPO? Also, I need to
set the variable %username% to map everyone to their homedir. How can this
be done in Windows 2000 server AD using GPO?

You need to set the Home Drive on the Profile Tab of the users account.
Assuming the computer they will be logging into is at least W2K or
above. Then there is no need for a login script to map the "Home
Drive".

Don't know of any way apart from writing a simple script and dumping it in
the logon scripts. I have that working here along with redirection of the My
Documents to the user's home directory. That uses the %username% variable...
