I currently running a windows 200 server and a windows XP desktop. I can map a drive from the network but cannot display the contents. I can copy a folder to the shared folder and then can see it in windows explorer. If I close explorer, I can no longer see the folder I just copied.

You don't specify whether or not this is a domain environment. If it is
*not* a domain environment, disabled Simple File Sharing in Tools\Folder
Options on the XP box.

Can you be a little more explicit about where you can and can't see things,
and where you are copying to??

Paul,

I am running on a workgroup type environment. By not seeing anything, I basically mean that in windows explorer I can see the mapped drive, but I can not see any files or directories. I checked the view options and that appears to be OK. Another thing, on the server I can see the desktop compter under entire network but when I click on the computers Icon I get a message that the network path was not found. Any suggestions?
