Mapped drives say there is already a connection, but there isn't..

I set up a drive on one XP box to share over my LAN. I set up the
permissions so that only administrators and another user i created would be
able to access, or even view the share. I then went onto my other XP box and
mapped that folder to a drive, and it all worked perfectly. I then had to
reboot the PC that mapped the drive and now it says: "The network golder
specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password. To
connecting using a differnt user name and password, first disconnect any
existing mappings to this network share." Well, i have NOTHING mapped and it
still gives me this error....

Journer,

From the server (the computer providing the shared folders), check (Control
Panel - Administrative Tools) - Computer Management - System Tools - Shared
Folders. Examine both the Sessions and Open Files lists, and close any session
or open file as necessary.

You might try running net use * /delete in a command prompt. This deletes
all net mappings and sometimes resolves problems like you describe.
