In Windows xp I used mapped drives at work. For some reason if someone uses a
different assword then there main pone they will not get a logon boxuntill
they click on the link. How can I reverse this without changing anything
else? Is there anything form MS about this?

My second question is here only because, I was blocked from posying even
when this site was in ie allows list. where can I get the denied list? I want
to edit that.

That sounds like (from your description) like it is working as it should be.
Someone logs into a system with a password other than the one on the main
(domain? just server?) system and when they try to restore the link, it
asks for their password.

Or am I misunderstanding your description? Can you give more details?

What "deny list"? You mean a hosts file?
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Or some other lists like those added by Spybot Search and Destroy
immunization and SpywareBlaster immunization?

I want to force a windows 2000 like logon box. I don't get asked for a logon
to a mapped drive on boot up. Is there a way to fix this?
