maping a remote ftp folder to local drive is this possible?

hello,

I would like to map a remote ftp folder to a drive letter on my system.
Is it possible in Windows 2000 or Windows XP or Windows 2003? I couldn't
find any solution after googling for a few hours. All I got were
mappings of local network folders (those work) or mappings remote
folders which don't.

I would greatly appreciate your help and suggestions how to do that. All
I have is the IP number and name of the folder on the remote ftp server.

thanks,
geos

No.

You can have "Web Folders" done via a Web Server, but nothing with a FTP
Server.

thanks for reply.. in the meantine I found four commercial programs
which state that they map an ftp server to a drive letter. all are
commercial.. do you know if they do this in some "tricky" way which is
unable to do from the system alone?

cheers,
geos
