Pretty frustrating problem:

I am tring to map a homedrive, which is in a workgroup on my LAN, from my
company laptop.

When I use a local user on my laptop the mapping works fine.

When I Use the company-user (which is in a domain) I get diverted to an
account calld "BeMyGuest". Sounds like a ForcedGuest feature on outgoing
connections, which i have never heard of.

I've tried the "Log in as a different user" featrue in the network mapping.
No luck.

Any idea how to get around this ?

Problem solved. Found the solution elsewhere in this chat.

The trick was:

net use x: \\192.168.1.1\share\partition1 /user:localdomain\localusername

(Don't know why this did not function with the "Log in as a different user"
featrue in the network mapping ...
